i have adjusted the original recipe i found on youtube [link] thanks to [link] whose mug cake looks mazing! with more sugar as it was not sweet enough. Also if you are like me and don't like your cake too be too chocolatey then only add 1 tbls of cocoa as i found it too strong.

you can use self raising flour or normal flour, it doesn't really matter as long as you add that baking powder. Also i don't have a 1000w microwave, mine is 750w and cooked in 4 minutes

this is a basic recipe and just calls out to be added too, i will be trying this with different flavors in the mix, adding toppings such as melted chocolate, cream, ice cream and anything else wet as it really needs something like that to give it that extra different flavor, texture and moisture :)

I tried this with about half the butter and a bit of peppermint oil. Both my brother and I loved it, though it startled me a bit when the cake rose in the mug. Thank you so much!

not really but i tend to add the dry ingredients first just by habit of making normal cake.

Once I prepared this I was almost finished and then noticed I ran out of milk... So I used water instead. It came out much more juicy and fluffy.
