I used the betty crocker devils cake mix for this, so gutted i can't eat them anymore, typically there is a GF betty crocker range in America but you can't get that stuff over here.

what flour do you use? I'm been using that doves farm one, brown flour with rice, buckwheat and topoca

ASDA's own is the only one i have tried so far, only been gluten free for one month, it is a blend of rice flour, potato starch, tapioca, maize and buckwheat, i made my usual victoria sponge recipe with the GF flour and you could not taste a difference.

Ah yes, someone made me mice pies with that flour, nice but very chewy. In fact everything I have cooked with gluten free flour comes out chewy, not sure why!

strange, not heard of that problem, maybe over cooking or wrong balance of ingredients.
