My attempt for :iconstill-life-stills: monthly recipe challenge [link]

I made a few adjustments to the recipe, firstly i replaced the wheat flour for gluten free, i made the recipe as cupcakes rather than a whole cake as my kids prefer cupcakes and i also sliced some of the apples to put in the top as well as chopping chopping them up into cubes and a sprinkle of granulated sugar on top.

I have never even considered making a chocolate cake with apples in so really was not know what to expect, glad i gave it a go though because it worked really well.

Schools have started last week, which gives me a bit of air to breath again. However I offered my help to various people so last week was very busy. My trip to Rome is all of a sudden so close now, will be on a plane again after 26 years, (and I am scared as hell for it. I need to get something to relax before I board).
So... I guess it will take another week or two before I can make a chocolate/apple cake.

i have never been on a plane, the whole idea really scares me though i think the want would out weigh the fear if i ever had the opportunity to go to America. It's scary my eldest has already been at school for a week already, it flew past so quickly especially it being her birthday week too.

i sure was pleasantly surprised how good the combo was :) oh i ended up buying just red rose fabric petals in the end for my wedding cake.
