This is a little sneak peek at what i have planned for valentines day treats.
I am in the mood for using up left overs at the moment. For Christmas i received a tin of Belgium chocolate biscuits. they were alright but a little boring so i decided to make some truffles out of them as i had a tub of cream cheese left over too.
I put a few hand fulls of biscuits in my food processor, about seven different types of biscuit. Once finely crumbed i added a heaped tablespoon at a time of cream cheese until combined. Rolled them into balls and coated half with cocoa powder and half with icing sugar (confectioners sugar) I do not know the exact quantities i used, i have got the point in my baking that i just kind of know how much to use when it comes to truffles and cheese cakes.
TIP: If you make the icing sugar coated kind, do not coat them until you are about to serve them as the moisture from the truffles kind of melts the icing sugar and it does not look so nice once that starts to happen.
