So yesterday I mentioned my husband and I treated ourselves and the kids to an order of American treats, some of you thought it be strange to want to try American chocolate and such so I thought I would share some of the typical chocolate bars and such you can get here in the UK.

I only had Cadburys bars on hand to photograph, leftovers from Christmas I have yet to decide what to do with baking wise. Cadburys is not my favourite brand, far from it though I do love Buttons, Crunchies and Double Deckers now and again oh and Cadburys Creme Eggs of course. Galaxy chocolate is where my love is

Overall my favourite chocolate bars to buy (or used to buy as not all of them are gluten free) in the UK are Galaxy Ripples (exactly the same as Flakes but tastes a million times better), Minstrels (like Buttons but with a sugary shell) Snickers, Kit-Kat, Twix, Mars Bars and Smarties are all I can think of right now.

I don't know how much of this stuff you can get in America in regards to Galaxy and Cadbury but the chocolate bars you do have over there have a lot more variety. Here you get the basic, regular type, literally maybe a choice of one or two different flavours of Kit-Kat or Snickers for example, same goes for Oreos, we only get regular mostly, not the funky flavours. Don't even get me started on M&M's my goodness I really want to try the Mint ones, I adore mint chocolate and Lucky Charms, a cereal I know but I grew up on Lucky Charms until it was banned in this country I believe :( something to do with al the E numbers being bad for kids, which I get, they sure did make me super hyper.

Haha, nice point! Though I had this amazing sundae in a restaurant and I can't remember if what I chose might have had those in it or not! It sounds familiar anyway!

I used to love Wispa Golds before the reintroduction. Now I'm a little older I'd probably go for the regular Wispa or Picnic. I haven't seen a Picnic bar in a while!
