Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream by claremanson Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream by claremanson
It's as simple as that, cream, condensed milk and strawberries!

Finally a photo of the ice cream I made using the 2 ingredient recipe I saw last week. I wasn't even looking for an ice cream recipe at the time! I don't even like ice cream! BUT two ingredients, 4 minutes to make and then just freezing it overnight was just too quick and easy a recipe to pass up! Of course me being me I had to change something so decided to add my favourite thing that goes with cream! Strawberries!

For my fellow Brits out there, the recipe calls for whole cream or whipping cream, for us that is double cream, a 300ml tub and one normal sized can of Sweetened Condensed Milk. Just whisk together CAREFULLY (I got a little bit messy!) with an electric mixer or such.

Other flavour ideas (this list is just as much for me as it is you guys as I will be making this again for sure!) Oreos! Chocolate chips, sauces such as chocolate, toffee, caramel, fruit, berries, peanut butter, nutella etc, etc, the list is endless and oh so exciting!

RECIPE ON INSTRUCTABLES
www.instructables.com/id/2-Ing...

Again sorry for the lack of activity this week. This time I have had a fever, a really bad throat and not been eating so have spent the past week doing a whole lot of nothing but finally I am getting better.

Also on a more serious note before I start getting the typical DIABETES! comments for this, yeah, sure if you are stupid enough to go sit down in front of the tv with the whole thing then of course you are going to be setting yourself up for food related problems! Same as you would do if you did that with food! BUT I made this on Monday, it is now Saturday and there is still plenty left even after my husband and 2 kids having been having a little of this almost everyday in small amounts after eating their main meals. I really do not see the need in pigging out on the entire thing in one go, that to me is what is the most unhealthy thing here so, please, think before you comment! I am not promoting diabetes, I am promoting getting people, kids, those who don't think they can, interested in food and into the kitchen to see how much more enjoyable food is than just going out and buying it ready made, half the fun is making it yourself.

Can you make this without an electric mixer? Just mixing it manually?

I plan on trying this, but making it coffee flavoured. I do have an ice maker and have made ice cream with it in the past, but it's way more complicated than this recipe! I want easy ice cream!
