S'mores Cookie Sandwiches by claremanson S'mores Cookie Sandwiches by claremanson
Using up some leftover marshmallows and dairy free chocolate today. S'mores are not a very common thing in my part, no one i personally know have ever tried them. I only tried them for the first time last year after a lovely lady called Meg sent me a S'mores kit from the USA. We don't have graham crackers over here, just as well as I can't eat them anyway so decided to make some cookies. This is also the first time making dairy and gluten free cookies.

For normal or gluten free cookies I recommend this cookie recipe. I have tried many cookie recipes but that is the best recipe I have used so far. I am now on the look out for the perfect dairy free cookie recipe.

wow...s-mores are my favorite treat during the summer, not only is it fun finding a stick long enough to have it over the fire, but I like to make my marshmallow a golden hue...
And sometimes in the winter I would microwave 'em (not the same effect but close enough), but as long as the chocolate is melt-y I'm all good...but looking at yours have driven my craving for them....I love winter buuut that looks sooo good! and in cookie form! What a great photo....I think I'm going to make a smore at some point....it looks sooo good.

I have no idea, though I was told yesterday why Graham Crackers were invented, it was thought that plain, bland foods would reduce ones sexual appetite!

no enhance, reduce, but I'm pretty sure S'mores could do the opposite wit all the melted chocolate and marshmallow!

These look real yummy ;)
I think I will try your cookie recipe as well:D
You know you kan always just change the butter for a dairy-free alternative? The result will be just the same:D Trust me, it is not more difficult than that to cook or bake dairy-free :boogie:
I'm not an expert, but I have cooked and baked dairy-free for quite a few years now since I found out I'm allergic to milk protein.

Changing the butter for dairy free is what i did with my cookie recipe but as you see it came out looking very different! Is that normal with dairy free? This is only the second time I have made dairy free, the first being some cupcakes with my basic cake recipe and they came out lovely, maybe I will look into a different brand of dairy free butter and see if that helps.

I have never had any problems with the "butter" I use. it is made only of vegetable oils. No soy or anything.
I would definitely try an other brand:)
I let you know when I have tried your recipe, we can compare the result:D

I actually like the way that you made them with the cookies. Graham crackers are traditional, but they are hard and tend to shatter with the first bite!
