I don't really experiment with savoury dishes but the more i watch cooking shows the more i realize they can be quick and easy.
I really want to play around more with savoury dishes for the kids as i don't want them to get bored with their usual dishes or become too fussy.
This is the first time making pasta sauce. I didn't use a recipe i just threw together a bunch of leftover ingredients such as onions, vine tomatoes, tomato puree, olive oil and dried parsley, lightly pureed it (if there were big chunks of onion or tomato sticking out the kids would not have touched it) sliced cocktail sausages and homemade bread rolls.
Most of the sauce was used on the kids meals, this is a photo of the leftovers which i can't eat because of the gluten but would have if i could, great smells in the kitchen today.
