Fluffy gluten free vanilla cupcakes with a surprise strawberry jam filling (added after baking so not to ooze out the sides while baking) a tasty orange zest buttercream and dark/semi sweet chocolate spider webs to finish.
For colouring food, I prefer food colouring paste, it is very bright and concentrated, therefore you need very little, meaning it lasts a very, very long time, well worth the extra pennies. With this though if you can not get hold of the paste normal food colouring should be fine as you will not be using it in the baking, just the decorating. It is during the baking process normal liquid and gel food colouring can loose their colour and vibrancy.
