Stain Glass Window Cookies by claremanson Stain Glass Window Cookies by claremanson
Homemade peppermint cookies with stain glass centers

I have been wanting to work with melted sweets since seeing :iconbehindthesofa: make some lollipops with them.

These took a very long time to make, very time consuming indeed so by the end of it all i was very stressed out.

i find food photography most difficult as i'm not trained and especially this time of year when i am lacking in good natural light so your comment is very much appreciated and very encouraging, thank you

Happy to do so. Your effort under difficult conditions, elevates your image even more. Best of Luck.

These look really cool! I've never seen cookies like this before. I can understand how making them would take a lot of patience, but well done on not giving up because of the difficulty. You did a great job and I bet they tasted just as good as they look. =)

I know exactly what you mean about time consuming. I made some a while ago and it took forever. It's a pretty sticky job too. Yours look great though.

make sure you give yourself plenty of time to do it in, filling in the shapes with the crushed sweets can be fiddly and very time consuming as they can get very sticky

Time consuming they may be, but they look awesome! what did you use for the 'glass' ?
Reply
:iconclaremanson:
claremanson Featured By Owner Dec 22, 2011  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
some hard boiled sweets, just crush them up and carefully fill in the center before baking, that was the time consuming part as you almost have to over fill them but with out them spilling out to keep the shape
