10 minute desserts?

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 20, 2011, 3:50 AM
With Christmas just around the corner i am finding myself with less and less time and energy to bake.  So do any of you have or know of any quick and easy recipes or ideas for desserts or snacks that only takes around 10-15 minutes to make?

Please bare in mind we don't really use nuts, we never use alcohol and to you Americans out there in the UK we don't have much access to pie fillings, caramel and other canned goods like.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

I've been thinking this over for a couple of days, and don't have an instant idea for such quick puddings.
Then there is ofcourse the difference between our countries: over here the supermarket is full with ready to eat yoghurt and other dairy desserts, such as "vanillevla", which is like cold custard, and a lot of those alike but with different flavors. Not that they can beat home-made.

Which gave me the idea that if you don't have much time and still want something warm, why not making some pre-made things, like custard, to be used with baked apples, you only have to put them in the oven. Maybe they need more than the 10-15 mins, but most of the time they can "be on their own" in the oven without you doing anything to it.
The Greek style yoghurt is also nice, especially if you mix it with honey and oh....you don't eat nuts, so maybe you can add some some raisins or other dried fruit (apricots, prunes) which you have soaked in f.e. applejuice or grapejuice.
If you bake a pie you might consider to make more dough then you need, so you can freeze some to make small pies at moments you don't have much time.

So I suggest to focus on some premade things to compose quick desserts when needed.
Good luck :)
