Today is my 8th DA birthday! Seems so long ago now, i guess it was!
THANKS
Before i begin i would like to thank all you lovely people who support and watch me, also a big hello to all you new ones out there (i hope none of you are on diets!) You guys are the best, so caring, supportive, friendly, inspiring and funny.
A specail thank you goes out to you guys i talk to on a regular, almost daily basis though i dare not name you all as i know i will miss a couple of you out and would feel awful about it but you know who you are! You are like my extended family or an old friend from afar.
THEFT
A little update on the art theft situation! She got a permanent ban! Yay victory! What a great way to start my DA birthday! So yet another huge thank you for helping me sort that out and thank you to deviantart for removing the stolen art so quickly, much appreciated. Though this incident also means i am going to have to make a new, more intrusive water mark for my photos to try and protect and deter thieve a little better. I know how water marks annoy a lot of you, they do me too so i will try and get the balance right of being hard to remove but not being too distracting from the main photo (any suggestions would be appreciated!)

How did and how long ago did you first discover the wonderful world of Deviantart? and has your style of art or hobby changed since joining?
I first made an account thanks to an online friend who one day showed me her poetry on here and said i might like to make an account, so that i did and
here i am.
Time sure does fly! It is amazing how much things can change in 8 years but i am not going to go too deeply into my life events this year, as that is what i did for my 7th DA birthday post!
Basically I have tried out many art genres over the years. I gave drawing, poetry, photo manipulations, polymer clay jewelry, photography and digital art a go. All of which i enjoyed but was never really any good at so was never truly passionate over any of them.
Then In Septmebr 2010 i made my first ever dessert after my boyfriend bought home a bag of crushed Oreo's from work as they were no longer needed. That is what first sparked my passion of baking and food photography causing my busiest ever time on DA as i on average since the beginning of 2011 i have been baking at least once or twice a week! That is a lot of food and a lot of photos!.
I love to look back on my very first food photography and see how bad it was.

claremanson - invading screens since 2004Today, the 10th August 2011 marks my 7th year anniversary of being a member on DA
What a seven years it has been on and off screen.
7 years ago i had an online friend i met on the old MSN chat rooms. We shared a love for music and ended up talking art one day. I mentioned i liked to draw, she mentioned she liked to write poetry and showed me her DA account, from then on i was hooked.
As a 19 year old only child living at home with my dad i had a lot of time and a lot of teenage angst. I spent many hours playing video games, listening to music and drawing so my first uploads were filled with alot of sadness
As time went on i met many artists and with that came much inspiration and new art forms. From drawing, which i wasn't great at, came many experiments, my scrapbook tells a very obvious story of tried and failed art.

You've really come a long way and I am constantly amazed by the unique and creative ideas you come up with--you are an amazing artist! And I have to say, thank you so much for helping to get me into DA, too. It took me quite a few years after setting up my account because I was so scared about posting anything online and talking to people, but I finally got there. So glad I started, as I feel like it's helped me to grow in a lot of ways over the years. I love being here! And I love that you are here and we can share our art with each other and so many other people.
Yep! I understand how satisfying it is and that feeling you get from creating something yourself. It's good when all that time and effort pays off when you can see the end result. It's almost impossible to describe, but it is a feeling that I understand and I know you understand. I really love having someone else to show stuff too. I'm very happy that you got into photography and baking, not only because you can see things from the same sort of point of view as me, but because I have enjoyed watching your progress and seeing how far you have pushed yourself to reach the level you are at now. I feel so proud.
