What to you defines the start of Autumn? Is it the weather, temperature, smell, trees, animals, food? For me this year it started with the sudden drop in temperature and the wind picking up. Then the skies started to darken and the first leaves fell. The biggest change for me this year though now that i am deeply into baking and food photography is the end of the summer baking. No longer are with summer berries for cool and refreshing desserts, instead is the turn of the warm and hearty.
There is an interesting article on Autumn on Wiki [link] definitely worth checking out if you are an Autumn lover.

Don't forget there is still plenty of time to take part in this months still life photography contest [link] and the recipe challenge [link] both of which could win you some points and/or a premium membership so make sure to check them out!

The best thing is all the starlings that come together, and is flying with hundreds of them together from tree to tree. Love the sound they make
Most people hate when Autumn arrives that it's getting dark earlier and earlier. But I think it has something cozy.

Lovely feature too!
I am one of the haters of it getting all dark and gloomy, i suffer a little from SAD so as soon as the sun goes i start to feel very low but as soon as the thought of Halloween starts to creep in i get very excited and i just love the trees.
This 'summer' has seemed quick, and I can't believe how quick the nights are drawing in now...
But when we've been in other places, I used to love dressing the kids up and makeing
the house look all spooky. I did some evil red eyes in two of the windows one year.
