Everyone has their own idea of what is festive to them,  I was going to feature just one flavour but there are so many i could not decide.  What counts as festive varies greatly depending on family traditions, culture, taste and smell.

This is what is festive to me.  Chestnuts, peppermint, chocolate, orange, cranberry, cinnamon, mince pies, rum, brussel sprouts, stuffing, cheese and crackers, pickled onions, cheesecake and pigs wrapped in blankets.  All these foods are a combination of my families tastes over the years rubbing off on me.

What is festive for you?

:giggle: personally i hate them but every year i cook them as everyone else apart from me and the kids loved them, especially last year when i shredded them in the food processor before cooking.

It's just so weird, I never really thought of brussel sprouts as being particularly festive. but i eat them year round, so maybe I'm just a crazy person?

in my country it is the veg to have with your roast dinner even if you don;t like them! a lot of the time people add butter and bacon bits to it to make it more palatable.

That's funny, I'm pretty sure that's not the case in the US.. Lol. I love learning about other traditions!!!
